Samsung become top in Indian market replacing Xiaomi

Previously Xiaomi was on top in Indian smartphone market but now Samsung is in the first place. Samsung is doing good with A series M series and S series in the Indian market. Samsung has promised 4 years of software update and 5 years of security patches for A series and S series. Which is gold standard in the industry, even Google is providing three years of update. Now a days Chinese smartphone maker like Oppo, Oneplus are promising five years of security update and four years software update .

Due to this frequent update and global chip shortage, Samsung is changing premium for the devices. Previously within 25 thousand, we got great A series smartphone but not price is increased by huge margin.

It is very good for consumers that they can use device for long time like iPhone. Recently Samsung launched S series of smartphones with Snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor as they had stopped providing Exynos processor to different market.

Should you upgrade your smartphone every year?

From 2007, we have seen smartphone revolution in the world with iPhone. After that every company was involved and invested in R&D. Nokia was developing touchscreen based Symbian OS, Samsung is also introduced "Galaxy S" and "Note" smartphones. Symbian OS was not well optimised with the touch screen and where as Samsung Android based touchscreen phones were doing well in the market.
